FAQ

1. What is mobile physical therapy?

Mobile physical therapy is a service where a licensed physical therapist comes to your home, workplace, or other location to provide physical therapy services. This is an alternative to traditional physical therapy where patients have to travel to a clinic to receive treatment.

2. How do I schedule an appointment?

You can schedule an appointment by calling us at (603) 581-6346, or by filling out our online contact form. We will work with you to find a convenient time and location for your appointment.

3. Do I need a referral for physical therapy?

You do not need a referral for physical therapy with self pay or Medicare Part B. You are allowed to directly come to physical therapy. If we decide that a further evaluation would be beneficial we will work together to find you the appropriate care. Medicare requires a physician (ideally your primary care provider) to be in agreement of your physical therapy treatment. To satisfy this requirement they will need to sign the physical therapy note or provide a referral.

4. What should I expect during my first appointment?

During your first appointment, the physical therapist will conduct an evaluation to assess your condition and develop a personalized treatment plan. The evaluation may include questions about your medical history, a physical examination, and functional testing.

4. Do I need to provide equipment?

We will provide all items that will be needed for treatment  including treatment table and any necessary fitness equipment. If you have equipment you would like to use we would be happy to use those as well.

5. How long is each session?

Each session is one hour long. Please dress in comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.

5. Where do you travel to?

Our treatment area serves the Kearsarge Valley and surrounding areas including Andover, Bradford, Contoocook, Croydon, Danbury, Elkins, Georges Mills, Goshen, Grantham, Guild, Henniker, Hopkinton, Newbury, New London, Salisbury, Springfield, Sunapee, Sutton, Warner, and Wilmot. If your town is not listed we would be happy to discuss if treatment is possible for an additional fee.

6. Do you accept insurance?

We currently accept Medicare Part B and Tricare East. We are focused on quality physical therapy and many insurance companies restrict how we are able to treat. We would be happy to provide you with a "superbill" for your insurance company if you would like to be reimbursed.
